Harry T Pope is a jazz-pop independent artist from Croxley Green, near Watford.

With eclectic influences from all genres, his music fuses catchy pop melodies with jazz harmony, rock energy, classical instrumentation, and soulful vocals.

He came to us to create a music video which transported the band through four eras of music video history.

From The Beatles, Billy Joel, Motley Crue, to My Chemical Romance - the song transports the listener through multiple genres of rock. Therefore, the music video had to follow suit.

Pre-production took place throughout June-July 2024. We screen tested both vintage & modern lenses with different lighting to establish what best replicated the looks required. We then created four monitoring LUTs, produced the call sheets, booked theatre & church locations, liaised with the lighting engineer, created the shot list & storyboard, booked the crew; plus arranged costume & make-up for the band.
Production took place across two days in August 2024. The first in a theatre and the second split between theatre & church. A cast & crew of 20 was deployed, in similar roles to a small narrative set. Used were two cinema camera packages & cinematic lighting, with each having the monitoring LUTs installed so we could match reference frames of the original music videos with Harry's live on set.
Post-production saw all deliverables edited in-house, including a specialist colour grade, and shared with Harry & team for revisions and distribution.
